Grobal research, Global Leadership with Frontier Spirit

VISCOM Lab was established in March 2005 when Dr. Kwang-deok Seo was appointed as a Professor at Yonsei University. The mission of VISCOM Lab is to perform innovative research work in the areas of multimedia coding, multimedia communications, and multimedia systems. Members of the lab are pursuing research focused on advanced multimedia communication technologies on a variety of multimedia systems. Specifically, detailed research topics include advanced video coding, scalable video coding, video content analysis, advanced streaming technology, multimedia transport protocol design, and intelligent schemes for universal multimedia access and digital media convergence.
